Long, long ago, in a land of magic and monsters, a war raged that devastated the land. Kingdom was turned against kingdom and people against people. The war swallowed all in its wake. But soon, the negative energy that flowed throughout the land ripped open a rift that merged the land above with the land of the eldritch. Horrible beasts poured from the rift, consuming all who dared to face them. But one man, John, managed to slay a beast and realized that consuming it could grant unfathomable power. He grew tyrannical with this power and was exiled by the united peoples where he grew too weak to hunt anymore. You then awaken years later to find him in a cave. He proposes that you hunt beasts for him and in exchange he will give you answers to who you are. But is he really giving you what he promises? Or is he just using you like a vessel for his own gain?
